UPI - 02/13/2010 -Santiago Morning adds another victory in the 2010 Apertura championship, after gaining its second straight victory by beating Palestino 2-1 in the fifth match day.
The team led by Juan Antonio Pizzi is off to a promising season, having beat Union San Felipe 2-1 in its previous match.
The main character of match day 5 is undoubtedly Argentine Sergio Comba, one of the top scorers of the tournament so far, who netted two for the bohemios. He first took advantage of a penalty kick at the 38th minute and scored a second goal at the 50th minute.
The Arab’s goal was also scored on a penalty kick by Nicolas Canales at the 68th minute, but that wasn’t enough for coach Jorge Arvena’s team to break its loosing streak.
With these last results, Santiago Morning has reached 6 points and is rising in the league’s ranking, while the tricolores remain last in the list with just 2 points. Morning will take on the “U” in the next round.
