Paris Saint-Germain FC and Montpellier Hérault SC both earned hard-fought away draws to leave the situation unchanged at the top of Ligue 1, while Olympique Lyonnais lost ground.

It is as you were at the top of Ligue 1 after leaders Paris Saint-Germain FC and second-placed Montpellier Hérault SC both earned 1-1 away draws.

The frontrunners from the capital travelled to FC Girondins de Bordeaux and went ahead through Mohamed Sissoko ten minutes in, but Yoan Gouffran struck his fifth of the season moments later to ensure a share of the spoils. Montpellier remain three points behind PSG after Joris Marveaux's second-half goal rescued a vital point at AS Saint-Étienne, Bănel Nicoliţă having put Les Verts ahead on 32 minutes.

Olympique Lyonnais lost further ground on the league leaders as Ryad Boudebouz's penalty before the break secured a 2-1 win for home side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard. Aly Cissokho's own goal had put Les Gones behind early on, but Alexandre Lacazette's first of the season drew them level before Algerian midfielder Boudebouz scored from the spot.

Olympique de Marseille's revival continued as they registered a third straight league win, Jordan Ayew (72) and Loïc Rémy's added-time penalty easing Didier Deschamps's charges past OGC Nice 2-0. SM Caen are level with OM on 18 points after goals by Gregory Leca (36), Frédéric Bulot (66) and Pierre-Alain Frau (72) earned a 3-0 win against Dijon FCO, while FC Lorient, AJ Auxerre and AS Nancy-Lorraine also recorded victories.
