The Ligue 1 table-toppers were beaten by Dijon in the Coupe de la Ligue in midweek and Kombouare was pleased with the way his men responded.
"I am happy that we got the job done. I expected a tough game against a good side, and that is what happened. We are progressing," Kombouare said.
"I must emphasis how good we were in the second half. We like to get forward and score goals. That creates problems defensively but I have always worked that way."
"I was expecting a reaction from my players after the elimination from the Coupe de la Ligue, and I got it. There was a lot of anger on Wednesday, but tonight we put that behind us with a good performance."
PSG have collected 29 points from 12 games and hold a three-point lead over second-placed Montpellier.
