Ever Banega’s fine in Valencia and now hopes for South Africa 2010

Ever Banega, Valencia’s midfielder and ex-Boca Juniors player, admitted today that he’s more focused since he left Atlético de Madrid: “I realized that I couldn’t go on that way.”

There is just one thing on Banega’s mind right now: getting called up to join the Argentinean selection for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. “I hope they’ll give me a chance. I see that I’m ready for this. I’ve already won all of the youth and inferior competitions”, the Valencia player commented, referring to his gold medal representing Argentina at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and at the Argentinean victory at the U-20 World Cup in 2007.

Though he did admit that his first moments in Spain weren’t his most brilliant, he’s positive that right now he’s “at his best”.
