Football Italia reported that Marcelo Simonian, Banega's agent, confirmed that there is "nothing true" about the rumors spreading that the Argentina international is heading out of Italy and into the China top-flight.
"There's nothing true," Simonian said with a sigh as he talked to local reporters in Italy. "These are just classic market rumors, just chatter."
The Chinese winter transfer window is still open until the end of the month and so speculations have persisted with regards to Banega's potential switch.
Previous rumors went out that newly-promoted CSL side Tianjin Quanjian, now managed by Italian football legend Fabio Cannavaro, is set to lure Banega out of Inter.
