February 19, 2010 – futbolmercado.com / He arrived last summer at Palermo from Huracan where he scored 8 goals in 30 first league games. Twenty year old Javier Pastore is having a remarkable season in the Italian squad where, after an adaptation period, he’s become part of the game plan (20 matches played, 1 goal).
This has triggered the interest of many clubs over the last few weeks. One of the clubs who’s been pulling hardest to reel in Pastore is Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea. However, it seems that the transfer is far from done, as the midfielder’s agent Marcelo Simonian recently told palermo24.net.
“He’s not going anywhere yet. He’s only 20 years old and has only reached 20 or 30% of his potential. He can’t change environment so quickly. He’s not Reddy and he’s very happy in Palermo.”
